Rangee RFID Login

The first login at the Thin Client is done with Rangee RFID Login and increases the security for the login at the Windows operating system.

A 2-factor authentication with RFID token offers a new level of security: Only the person who owns the token and knows the PIN can log in.

Finding a secure password that meets complexity rules and is easy to remember is not easy. For simple authentication, the password should be changed at regular intervals. This is tedious, and after the vacation the last password is often forgotten. On the Rangee RFID token, the credentials for the remote desktop session are stored in encrypted form.
The password cannot be forgotten or spied out.

By removing the token, the current remote desktop session can be terminated (disconnected) and directly resumed (reconnected) after applicate the token. Especially in hospital environments, fast workstation changes are vital for short realtion times for staff. Special data protection requirements must also be observed here. Leaving an open session running unsupervised, must be prevented. In addition, accelerated login processes facilitate the work processes for medical staff because waiting times and logout processes are eliminated.

Rangee RFID Easylogin allows the use of complex passwords that are securely stored on the RFID token.

The Rangee RFID Login package includes 1 RFID token. Only pre-configured tokens can be used for the Rangee RFID Login function. The NFC / RFID reader must be procured additionally, all commercial devices are supported.
