During the boot process, shortly after switching the device on one can call the rescue panel with the ESC key. This includes the following features :
- : Starting the OS Rangee Linux on device.
- : Starts Rangee Linux without VESA support. Particularly important for using PC-sticks in PC with Intel chipsets.
- :Turning the power management ACPI off. Usefull by using the PC-sticks in older computer architectures.
- : Resets Rangee Linux to factory settings. If the password has been forgotten this action can also be used by getting the master password. Please contact the Rangee support.
- : Resets the graphic settings to the factory defaults.
- : This menu item allows the firmware to completely reload. For questions please contact the Rangee Support.
The actions in the rescue panel should only used in an emergency situation by an administrator. The use of the selected action requires an administrator password. This password is identical to the password for the administrator access of the Kommbox. By default as delivered to the customer the password is 'engels'.
